Twilight-Silhouettes
late afternoon
shadows
lured me
out onto the veranda…
I sat with coffee
and sighed
the spring sun
drifted
behind trees & rooftops
a soft light
clinging
to the last shreds of day…
I gazed
in silence
as graduating
shades
shifted
into muted
twilight-silhouettes …
a breeze teased
the tress
- coconut fronds
dancing
with rustling grace…
a swirling mass
of cloud-colors
swept
across the darkening sky
a hint of rain
infused the air
as I sat in coffee-scented
silence
and almost
…. almost
cried….
